3 core steps + optional booster serums for targeted concerns
Vedara Care JVC
AT A GLANCE
HydraFacial at Vedara Care JVC - the short version.
HydraFacial is a multi-step medical-grade facial protocol using patented vortex-fusion technology to cleanse, exfoliate, painlessly extract pore impurities, hydrate, and infuse antioxidant and peptide serums - all in a single 30 - 60 minute session with no downtime. At Vedara Care Polyclinic in Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC), Dubai - walking distance from Circle Mall - HydraFacial is delivered by Arfah Owais, DHA-licensed aesthetician with CIBTAC-UK diploma and 8+ years of clinical experience. The core 3-step protocol suits most skin types. Optional booster serums address targeted concerns - Britenol for pigmentation, Dermabuilder for early aging, CTGF (Growth Factor) for plumping. Optional LED light therapy add-on (blue for acne-prone skin, red for aging). Single session provides genuine hydration and refresh benefit visible immediately post-treatment, peaking around 5 - 7 days. Monthly programme gives cumulative benefit. Realistic outcome framing throughout: meaningful skin refresh and hydration benefit, not miracle transformation.
The technology, the steps, and what makes it different from a regular facial.
The vortex-fusion technology — what it actually does
HydraFacial's core innovation is the patented vortex-fusion delivery tip. It's a spiral-shaped tip that combines two things happening simultaneously: negative pressure suction (which lifts pore impurities out gently and painlessly, unlike traditional manual extraction which pinches and can bruise the skin) and serum infusion (which floods the pore with cleansing, exfoliating, or hydrating serums at the same moment). The vortex effect creates a swirl inside the pore that lifts debris out and simultaneously deposits serum in. It's the reason HydraFacial results are more consistent and less traumatic than manual extraction facials.
Regular facials rely on manual extraction with metal tools, steam to soften pores, and topical product application. Effective when done well, but variable in results and often uncomfortable. HydraFacial standardises the process — same protocol, same vortex pressure, same serum delivery, every session. Better consistency, less discomfort, less risk of post-extraction inflammation or bruising.
The 3 core steps
Step 1 — Cleanse and Peel. A cleansing solution (typically containing glycolic and salicylic acid at a mild concentration) is applied through the vortex tip. It removes surface dead skin cells, dislodges dulling debris on the skin surface, and prepares the skin for extraction. Duration: 5-10 minutes. You'll feel a mild cooling sensation, no discomfort.
Step 2 — Extract and Hydrate. The vortex tip switches to extraction mode — negative pressure gently lifts pore impurities (sebum plugs, blackhead debris, dead skin trapped in pores) out of the pore. Simultaneously, the tip infuses a hydrating serum with hyaluronic acid derivatives. This is the step that gives HydraFacial its distinctive result — pores visibly clearer without the pinching or bruising of manual extraction. Duration: 15-20 minutes.
Step 3 — Fuse and Protect. The final step infuses antioxidant serums (peptides, hyaluronic acid, and antioxidants) into the freshly cleansed skin. This is when boosters are typically added — targeted serums selected based on skin concerns from analysis. Duration: 5-15 minutes depending on boosters selected.
The booster serums — what they actually target
Boosters are targeted serum concentrates added during Step 3. Arfah selects boosters based on skin analysis findings, not door-sold package upsells:
”· Britenol Booster — targets pigmentation and uneven skin tone via alpha-arbutin and vitamin C derivatives. Suited to sun damage, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or mild melasma.
”· Dermabuilder Booster — targets fine lines and early aging via peptide complex supporting collagen synthesis. Suited to 30s-40s patients.
”· CTGF (Growth Factor) Booster — targets skin plumping and elasticity. Higher price point.
”· Age Refinement Booster — targets combined fine lines and skin firmness.
”· Circadia Vitamin C Booster — high-concentration antioxidant for brightness and protection.
”· JLo Beauty Booster — niacinamide-based brightening.
LED light therapy add-on — what it does
Optional LED light therapy can be integrated at the end of the HydraFacial protocol. Two primary options:
”· Blue LED (around 415nm) — targets acne-causing bacteria (P. acnes). Suited to acne-prone skin. Approximately 10-15 minutes exposure.
”· Red LED (around 630nm) — supports collagen stimulation and reduces inflammation. Suited to anti-aging or sensitive/reactive skin.
LED provides genuine but modest additional benefit. Not a stand-alone substitute for structural aging concerns or active acne management.
How HydraFacial compares to other facials
”· vs Regular facial — HydraFacial standardises extraction and delivers serum simultaneously. Regular facial relies on manual extraction and topical application. HydraFacial more consistent, less traumatic. Regular facial more personalised massage, lower cost.
”· vs Oxy-Geneo — Different technology approach. Oxy-Geneo uses exfoliation-oxygenation-infusion with proprietary capsules. Both are valid medical-grade facials.
”· vs Microdermabrasion — Microdermabrasion is physical exfoliation only, no serum infusion. HydraFacial includes exfoliation plus extraction plus infusion.
”· vs Dermaplaning — Dermaplaning uses a precision blade for physical exfoliation that removes fine facial vellus hair during exfoliation. Can be combined — dermaplaning before HydraFacial gives enhanced serum penetration.
”· vs Chemical peel — Chemical peels use higher-concentration acids for deeper exfoliation, often with visible peeling. HydraFacial peel step is mild — better for general refresh and hydration.
What HydraFacial won't do
Honest framing matters. HydraFacial provides real, meaningful benefit for hydration, surface exfoliation, pore cleansing, and antioxidant infusion. It does not:
”· Erase deep pigmentation or melasma — those need dedicated Pigmentation & Melasma programme.
”· Correct acne scarring — atrophic scarring needs RF Microneedling, laser, and programme-format work.
”· Lift or tighten sagging skin — structural aging needs HIFU or surgical intervention.
”· Resolve active severe acne — needs dermatological medical management.
”· Substitute for chemical peel or laser resurfacing for deep textural concerns.
”· Produce sustained visible change from single session without programme continuity.
Arfah is honest about these limits during consultation. If HydraFacial isn't the right treatment for your concern, she'll say so and recommend what would actually work.
"HydraFacial is genuinely different from a regular facial — the vortex-fusion delivery tip cleans pores properly without the pinching or bruising of manual extraction. But it's not miracle skincare. Real benefit within realistic parameters."

Comprehensive Protocol
What actually happens in a HydraFacial session with Arfah.
Every session, every patient - the components that make up the protocol.
Comprehensive Skin Analysis (First Visit)
30-minute skin analysis with Arfah before first HydraFacial. Skin type, condition, sensitivity, current concerns, medication review, previous treatment history, contraindication screening, protocol tier selection, booster selection discussion. Not skipped for first-time patients - this determines the appropriate protocol.
Pre-Treatment Skin Preparation
Makeup and product removal, gentle cleanse, skin preparation. Positioning in reclined treatment chair with proper support. Explanation of the sequence about to happen - no surprises during the session.
Step 1 - Cleanse and Peel
Vortex-fusion tip applies gentle glycolic and salicylic acid solution across face for 5 - 10 minutes. Surface dead skin removed, dulling debris dislodged, skin prepared for extraction. Mild cooling sensation, no discomfort.
Step 2 - Extract and Hydrate
Vortex tip switches to extraction mode. 15 - 20 minutes of gentle pore extraction combined with simultaneous hydrating serum infusion. Pore impurities lifted out painlessly - no manual pinching or bruising. This is the distinctive HydraFacial step.
Step 3 - Fuse and Protect
Antioxidant serums (peptides, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants) infused via vortex tip. 5 - 15 minutes depending on booster selection. This is when targeted boosters are applied - Britenol for pigmentation, Dermabuilder for early aging, CTGF for plumping, or others per protocol.
Optional Booster Serum Integration
Booster serums added during Step 3 per protocol. Britenol, Dermabuilder, CTGF, Age Refinement, Circadia Vitamin C, JLo Beauty Booster, and other options discussed during consultation. Not every session needs boosters - Arfah recommends based on skin analysis and current concerns.
Optional LED Light Therapy Add-On
Blue LED (415nm) for acne-prone skin or Red LED (630nm) for aging and inflammation. 10 - 15 minutes exposure at end of protocol. Optional add-on discussed and priced separately.
Post-Treatment Skin Care
Sun protection (SPF) applied at end of session. Immediate post-treatment skin care guidance verbal and written. Take-home skincare recommendations aligned with in-clinic protocol for programme continuity.
Written Session Summary
Written summary of the session - protocol tier delivered, boosters used, any observations, recommended next steps, timeline for next session if programme. Supports treatment continuity and informs future sessions.
Programme Continuity Plan (If Applicable)
For monthly programme patients, next session scheduled with appropriate rotation of protocol tier and boosters based on skin progression. Programme adjustments discussed at each session - not fixed rigid package.
Your Journey
What a HydraFacial visit actually looks like - from booking to follow-up.
Phase 1 - Booking and Pre-Visit Prep
Book by phone, WhatsApp, or website. Brief pre-consultation form covering skin history, current concerns, medications, allergies, previous aesthetic treatments. Arriving with makeup off (or with time for gentle removal during setup) makes the analysis and treatment start faster.
Phase 2 - First Visit: Analysis + HydraFacial
First visit is 60 minutes total. 30-minute comprehensive skin analysis with Arfah (skin type, condition, sensitivity, concerns discussion, medication review, contraindication screening). Then 30-minute Core HydraFacial delivery. You leave with skin refreshed, written session summary, and personalised recommendation for programme continuity or single-session repeat cadence.
Phase 3 - Post-Treatment Immediate Care
Skin will look brighter and feel deeply hydrated immediately. Some patients experience mild pink flush for 30-60 minutes - this settles quickly. Makeup can be applied 2-3 hours post-treatment. Sun protection essential. Avoid intense exercise, sauna, or hot yoga for 24 hours. Peak visible results around days 5-7.
Phase 4 - Follow-Up (Programme Patients)
For patients on monthly programme, next session scheduled at 4-week interval. Between-session skincare guidance from Arfah supports sustained benefit. WhatsApp available for questions between sessions. Rotating boosters and protocol tier adjustments based on skin progression.
Phase 5 - Sustained Programme (3-6 Months)
Sustained monthly programme over 3-6 months typically produces cumulative visible benefit - improved skin texture, sustained hydration, clearer pores, more consistent tone. Programme review conversation at 3 months and 6 months - continue monthly, transition to quarterly maintenance, or discuss additional treatments based on progress.

""Oily T-zone with constant blackheads and a generally dull look to my skin even though I wash twice a day — combination skin in Dubai heat basically. Tried several facials at beauty salons with the usual extraction that left my skin red and angry for days. Vedara's approach was different: they spent time talking through my skin type first, then did a gentler HydraFacial with less aggressive extraction than the salons used. My nose area was noticeably clearer and the skin just looked fresher overall, and I didn't have that red, irritated look afterwards. Repeat sessions every few weeks for maintenance, which fits well with my schedule.""

""Wanted something low-drama before a wedding — no peeling, no downtime, just looked fresher on the day. Consultation was straightforward: confirmed my skin could handle it, adjusted the exfoliation to be gentle since my skin tends to react, and then the session itself was quick. Skin looked more hydrated and less tired the next day, which is exactly what I wanted. They recommended scheduling a few days before the event rather than the day before, which I did and it worked out perfectly.""

""Fitzpatrick V skin, previous facials at other clinics sometimes left me with post-inflammatory marks that took weeks to fade — so I was very cautious about trying anything. Vedara's dermatologist discussed the skin-type adjustment first, then did a noticeably gentler HydraFacial protocol: milder exfoliation, lower suction during extraction, specific serum choices. No adverse reaction at all. Skin looked cleaner in the T-zone and generally more refreshed. The skin-type-specific approach was what mattered most to me here.""
